Why I built this
My interest in nutrition didn't begin in a classroom โ it began through my own life.
I grew up overweight. I was always the chubby kid, and it affected my confidence in ways I carried for years. During a particularly tough summer at sixteen, I gained around forty pounds and hit my heaviest weight โ about 240 to 245 pounds.
As I got older, I realized weight wasn't the only issue. In my twenties I started noticing that certain foods seemed to affect my energy, mental clarity, and digestion in ways I'd never paid attention to before. That started years of tuning in to how different foods made me feel โ and it changed everything.
I also watched my dad struggle with obesity throughout my childhood. At his heaviest he was over 400 pounds. That experience made nutrition feel personal, not abstract. I want to help the people around me โ my family, my community โ avoid some of those same struggles.
My goal isn't to push a perfect diet. It's to help you understand your own body and build a way of eating you can actually sustain.
